HYDRA is a feminist poetic meditation on the apocalyptic nature of our times. The COVID-19 pandemic has laid bare a crisis that goes much deeper than public health. It ultimately exposed a general crisis of values: capital over life, profit over care, delusion over reason. The resulting cultural, political and moral disaster reveals just how urgent it is to accept the failure of a self-sufficient individualist society and embrace the interconnected vulnerability that ties each and every form of life. This work highlights how unsustainable it is to place care and reproductive labor as secondary to economic performance, as well as the need to recognise the daily - often invisible and undervalued - processes that sustain life.
