2017 , Live Performance, 62 hours

SESC Consolação, São Paulo, Brazil

This performance proposes a comic and contemporary reading of the archetypical Mother that has horrified our collective unconscious since immemorial times. Where does affection meet abuse? What are the frontiers between care and control? How many tears are necessary to drain a human being? Inspired by the terror and seductive power of queens, witches, and demons that inhabit our myths–like Medea, Lilith, and Lamia–this piece challenges these questions while engaging with an audience that is invited to have a performative encounter with the artist, who gives them orders, offers watermelon, compassion, and tears.
