Start Up Art Fair SF 2018
This piece is the sequence of brid(g)e, that investigates the marriage between immigration and art institutions in contemporary times.
In the first one, dressed as a bride, Guta crawls through the streets of San Francisco for two hours. Distance and time were stretched through slow movement.
In this piece, the focus is on the maximum strength within the minimal distance. The artist is tethered to a heavy cement “bridal” sculpture that she labours to move, pulling it three feet in two hours.
